Curating music for yoga classes and events masterclass with Pip.
Curating music can either light you up or fill you with dread, knowing what to choose and what goes with your class style, tempo and your sequence is a skill. Getting the music right can create transformational experiences, where music can move the soul, take your students into a meditative state and on a musical journey. Yoga doesn’t have to be practiced with music but it’s an exciting element that can be used to enhance the experience.
Pip will share in this masterclass how you can create a journey with music and how music can support and create emotional states and deepen the yoga experience. You’ll learn techniques and skills on how to create seamless playlists that don’t dominate but become integrated into the yoga sequencing. We’ll explore different class styles, tempo, energy and how to compliment your unique teaching style.
Pip has been creating yoga music events since 2014, through her festival and club Groove Om Yoga event combining House Music and Yoga. She now creates ecstatic dance events with her collaboration with Temple & The Moon, with music used for Rituals and Shamanic dream work sessions.
